You should always keep your Social Media links displayed on your Website. But how do you fetch the images from Instagram into your Website and display them in a Gallery Layout? Well, it has never been easier.
What exactly do we need to add an Instagram Gallery to a WordPress Website? We need an hour and the most lightweight Page builder plugin for WordPress-Elementor. Elementor is a Drag and Drop Page Builder Plugin. With this plugin, we can build top-notch websites without having to write a single line of code.
Open your WordPress Website and navigate to Plugins>Add New. Search for Elementor then Installs the Plugin. You don't need to buy the PRO version of Elementor for adding the Instagram Feed. Once the Installation is complete Activate the plugin. But if you still want the PRO version, get it here.
Get Essential Addons
Okay, now that you have Elementor installed on your website you need to add an Addon to Elementor. It is the most popular Addon Library for Elementor.
You need to get the PRO version of this plugin to unlock the EA Instagram Feed element. You can get the plugin from here. If you need assistance in getting the Plugin here is a quick documentation on how to Install The PRO Version.
Display Instagram Feed on Website
Okay so now that we have installed both Elementor and Essential Addons, let's get down to business. Open your Elementor Editor and search for EA Instagram Feed.
Drag and Drop the Element inside the Editor Interface. First, let's go over the Content Tab. From the Instagram Account Settings Tab, you need to fill out three fields.
Get Access Token
Click on the Red Text Get Access Token to get your token. This will take you to a new page which looks something like this. Click on the ‘Click here to get your Access token‘ button to generate your Access token.
Instagram Feed Settings
You can either pick the user or a certain hashtag as your source. If you pick to use a hashtag a new field will appear. Simply type in the hashtag you want to use. Afterward, pick how many columns you want the gallery to have and fix the image resolution. You can enable the link and show the caption for individual images by using the toggle bar.
From the Instagram Feed Styles adjust the padding between the images and pick a radius type. You will be dealing with two types of text content on the gallery-caption and comments. Adjust their color and typography separately. Click on the pencil icon to open the typography settings.
Furthermore, you can also pick a Hover Overlay color for all images in general.
